A LIMIT GEAR Prologue, part 2
CHARACTER | CAR | DESCRIPTION |
Ryu Haneda | Subaru Impreza WRX STI 2002 | Charismatic leader of the Silver Wrenches. Strong attitude and desire to win impresses many, including his rivals. Win-loss record is not the best, but he learns volumes from every opponent who beats h im. Ryu is rarely beaten twice by the same racer. Owns the mysterious Limit Gear device. Occasionally distracted by a desire for more money. Still deals with not following in his dad's footsteps (Murasai Haneda) of becoming a Metro Police officer. |
Akane Tanaka | Tokyo Research Enterprises 2002 Acura NSX | Ryu's closet love interest. Pure in heart, and appreciates her friends. Occasionally gets herself in over her head, but has courage by the ton. Gets involved with Tokyo Research Enterprises af ter significantly successful internship, and winds up piloting Hitaro's experiment. She has no clue what she is in for. |
Rex Hayabusa | Nissan 240 SX 1996 | Usually has enough driving skill to back up his boastful nature. Power is the name of his game, and he smokes his tires on a regular basis to prove it. Competitive with newcomers, but ultimately a genuinely sincere friend that can be counted on. |
Hiroshi | Nissan Skyline R32 GT-R | Calculated, enthusiastic racer. Purposeful and committed driving style - anyone who challenges him gets a handful every time. Occasionally flamboyant, but always controlled, Ryu regards him as the Silver Wrenches representative. |
Yamcha Tanaka | Porsche 911 Twin Turbo 1996 |
The racer with a silver spoon and a bottomless stomach. Capable of clearing a table full of food. Burns off calories on the road and in the gym. Somewhat reserved demeanor keeps him from making fast friends, but his incredibly chiseled, intimidating appearance means that anyone trying to do the group harm had better think twice. Respectable driving record inspired by Ryu's attitude to racing on the Wangan. |
Ace Wasachi | Acura NSX 1997 |
Talented leader of Speed Box, a racing team from the northwest corner of Tokyo's Inner Loop. Street-smart, quick on his feet, and quicker in his car, he has earned his position by the sheer number of opponents he has defeated. He can be approachable, but his focus on team superiority nets him few friends - often finds himself with something to prove, and will go to whatever length necessary to make it happen. |
Tenchi Kundo | Acura Integra 1997 | Leader of the Dark Eagles, a group regularly inhabiting southern parts of the Wangan. Somewhat reserved attitude, yet accessible, even to his opponents. Holds Silver Wrenches in high regard as one of last genuine racing teams. He races with calculating precision. Carries win streaks for team. Pursues honor and integrity in all he does, and will go to great lengths to protect those he knows - ally or opponent. |
Ichido Tanabe | Acura Integra 1997 | Tenchi's second-in-command. Has the stats to back up his potential. Speaks his own mind, but will pull rank for his team as well. |
Urusei Yasachi | Acura Integra 1997 | The loudspeaker of the group. Annoying and persistent, Urusei's demeanor is excused only by his penchant for automobile tuning. Wacky driving style frustrates his opponents, but almost costs him dearly on some occasions - Tenchi's comments about how Urusei should improve his driving always fall on deaf ears. |
Shinjuku Kairo | White 2002 Nissan Altima |
Leader of the Golden Swords, a notoriously powerful racing team both on and off the highways. Gunning for recognition as a highway champion, to someday become a feudal racer. Unforgiving driving style capitalizes on his opponents ' every mistake to win, earning him recognition as the sharpest sword of his group. Respected, if not feared, by many racers. Obsessive passion to win, always looking for the next big challenge. He is not someone to be taken lightly: powerful presence on the highway and even more dangerous attitude out of his car mean trouble if you ever cause him any.
|
Sai Saici Motabe | Nissan Sil-Eighty | Formiddable, focused, razor-sharp right-hand-man of the Golden Swords... and his racing is just as professional. Racing philosophy - get up front, and stay there. Grew up with Shinjuku - one of the few people who understands him. |
Kade Misachi | ??? | Leader of the Rapid Fire racing team. Owns the fastest automatic transmission vehicle on the loop. Races with passion against anyone who challenges him. Strong-willed, arrogant, and not afraid to back up his ideas with force if he encounters resistance. |
Hitaro Sentu (aka Businessman #1) | ??? |
Incredibly-motivated entrepreneur and businessman for TRE (Talon Research Enterprises - Tokyo Research Enterprises to the public eye). Passionate desire to see TRE become a powerhouse business in Tokyo commerce, and will deal bluntly with anyone who attempts to get in his way. Practically supernatural talent in driving skill (doubtlessly so - he was one of the first feudal racers). Calculating and cold in discussion with anyone, even his superiors. TRE has quietly been seeking a way to fire Hitaro and officially arrest him to break ties between him and the company. Hitaro already knows the plan.
|
Genosha Lena (aka Businesswoman #1) | ??? | Hitaro's business partner. Pleasant for the sake of convesation, but decidedly pointed with business negotiations. Unbeknownst to Hitaro, she has quietly been reporting his actions to an official review board within TRE. Alert and unimaginably smart, a business fighter not to be messed with. |
Rokaici Tendo | 1992 Toyota Cressida modified police cruiser, Nissan Skyline R32 GT-M | Talented police officer serving with the Central Tokyo Police. Incredibly good cruiser driver and undercover operative who keeps his eyes on Tokyo's racing teams. Torn between highway racing and his duty. |
Hakaida Satenki | ??? | Sincerely talented officer partnered with Rokaici in Central Tokyo Police. Her marksman skills with weapons are so good, they're scary. Street-smart with plenty of contacts throughout the city. |
Amiro Tahachi | ??? | Tokyo Metro Police officer who learned the trade after her parents died in a Yakuza-related incident. Passionate and persistent in her work. Will put herself in harm's way to save anyone. |
Genshiu | Nissan Silvia S13 Q ' s | An unexpected newcomer to Wangan racing. His driving skills are razor-sharp, and capable of beating racers at least one class higher than his car. They should be - he served before as a feudal racer. A quiet and humble racer, but appears to possess skills of inconceivable magnitude. |
Gosenki | 1982 Nissan Fairlady Z | A legendary feudal racer. Many racers wanted to emulate him, many more were beaten by him, but almost everyone had heard of him before. Successful victor of the first street racer power wars. Was unfortunately involved in a fatal car accident a short time later. Wangan drivers say they can still hear his car tearing up and down the Wangan and Yokohane lines late at night. |
Murasai Haneda | Toyota AE86T3 | An unimaginably talented and capable police inspector for the main offices of the Tokyo Metro Police. Funded and began the Limit Gear project, designed to help police officers have a marked edge over criminals. Died before he finished his project. But his charismatic, selfless nature did not leave his project unfinished. |
